Service is running
Get help on your computer without anyone walking to your desk
RemoteDesk lets our support team see and, with your permission, control your screen to fix problems. It runs entirely on this server, and nothing connects until you accept.
The agent comes set up for this server (http://192.227.179.44:5656), so there is nothing to configure.
Activity on this server
Live totals, refreshed every 15 seconds. Only numbers are shown here: no names, computers or addresses.

Hour of day, 30 daysHow a support session works
From your first call to the end of the session, you stay in charge of your computer.
-
Open the agent
Its window shows your 9-digit ID and a 6-character one-time code.
-
Tell the supporter both
Read them out on the phone. The code only works once and expires on its own.
-
Accept on your screen
You see who is asking. Allow full control, or tick it off so they can only watch.
-
Watch and disconnect any time
A bar at the top of your screen shows the session. Press Disconnect to end it at once.
Built to keep your computer yours
Remote access is powerful, so every connection is limited, visible and recorded.
You decide, every time
Nobody can connect without you pressing Accept on your own screen. There is no silent access.
Codes that expire
Your code changes after every session and at least every 10 min. After 5 wrong guesses it is locked.
Encrypted end to end
Screen, keyboard and clipboard travel encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The keys exist only on the two computers, so even this server cannot see your screen.
A code to check the line
Both windows show the same short security code. If yours matches the supporter's, nobody is listening in between.
View only when you prefer
Untick "allow control" and the supporter can see your screen but cannot click, type or use your clipboard.
Every session is logged
The server keeps who connected to which computer, when and for how long. Your screen is never recorded.
Install the agent
Takes about two minutes. You only do this once per computer.
Questions
Can someone connect to my computer without my permission?
No. A connection needs your current one-time code and your click on Accept. Codes change after every session, expire on their own, and lock after repeated wrong guesses.
Does the agent run all the time?
Only while its window is open. Close it when you don't need help and nobody can reach your computer through RemoteDesk.
Can the support team see my files?
They see what is on your screen during the session, the same as someone standing behind you. Close private documents before you accept, or choose view only.
What is stored about my sessions?
The time, the two computers involved, whether control was allowed, and the length. The screen itself is never recorded or stored.
How do I end a session?
Press Disconnect in the bar at the top of your screen, or close the agent. The session ends immediately.
The agent says "Offline". What should I do?
Check that you are connected to the network and can open this page. The agent retries every few seconds on its own. If it stays offline, call the ICT team.
